Lovie Awards 2017: We have won (twice)!

The winners for the Lovie Awards 2017 have been announced. The Samsung dynamic video campaign – It’s A Match – has won two Lovie Awards in the Social Video category; the People’s Lovie Award and the Bronze Lovie Award! The video content was created by Boomerang Agency and the technique was provided by us.

 What is the Lovie Awards?

The Lovie Awards, also called the Oscars of the European Web, is the most prestigious awards honouring online excellence. The mission? Recognizing the unique and resonant nature of the European Internet community. A total of 75 Lovie Awards have been awarded to Dutch agencies.

 What was the campaign about?

The personalized video campaign, sent around Valentine, addresses the popularity of dating apps. Almost daily we check users profiles in dating apps and discuss those with our friends. This is exactly what happens in the Valentines dynamic video, in which you are the main character. The personalization in the videos are based on your Facebook profile. This is where the app gets your pictures, age, relationship status, place of residence and interests which are then discussed by three attractive men or women. Just like real life, but with the only difference being you are able to watch along.

With the dynamic video, Samsung wanted to create awareness around the lesser-known Samsung Galaxy A series. And it worked! The dynamic video marketing campaign was a huge success. In total, the dynamic video has been watched nearly 95 million times, the content has received 6.7 million likes and more than 300,000 videos have been created!
